In 2026, National LGFA are introducing a pilot U20 competition. The U20 competition is an important competition to help bridge the gap for players between minor and senior.  

There will be a Provincial competition starting on 18^th April with All Ireland Finals on 11^th July.

Galway LGFA are currently seeking to appoint an U20 manager and in conjunction with are also looking for interested players to put their name forward for trials. 

Players must be born in 2006 or 2007, and be of county standard, ideally but not limited to past minor/U16 players intercounty players.
